Dandy Walker Like Malformation affects dogs and is an inherited neurological disease. Dogs affected by this disease begin walking with non-progressive signs of neurological disfunction that is caused by the underdevelopment of the Cerebellum in the brain. The cerebellum is crucial for coordinated movement. Signs of this disease include reduced or absent reflexes, tremors, involuntary abnormal eye movements, subtle high-stepping gait, and leaning or rolling to one side. Behaviour or ability to learn are not impaired or affected by this disease.
