Glomerulopathy (PLN) KIRREL2

$50

(ONLINE PRICE)

Test Overview:

Due to complex inheritance, genetic testing is helpful but not definitively predictive. Breeding decisions should consider testing for KIRREL2 and NPHS1 variants, especially in predisposed breeds like Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Airedale Terrier, and Danish-Swedish Farmdog. Avoid breeding carriers together to reduce risk of affected offspring. Monitor dogs for early signs of PLN via veterinary screening including urinalysis and blood work.
