Test Overview:

Genetic testing in Bengal and related breeds is essential before breeding. Cats with two copies of the mutation (affected) should not be bred. Cats with one copy of the mutation (carriers) can be bred only to cats tested clear to avoid affected offspring. Avoid breeding two carriers together due to a 25% risk of affected kittens per litter. Sharing genetic test results promotes informed, responsible breeding and helps reduce disease prevalence.
