Brown TYRP1 [Lancashire Heeler Type] = Bl

$50

(ONLINE PRICE)

Test Overview:

Avoid breeding two carriers of Bl alleles if brown coat color is not desired, since there is a 25% chance of producing brown puppies per litter. Breed carriers (heterozygous for Bl) only to clear (non-carrier) dogs to prevent brown puppies but retain genetic diversity. If brown coat color is desirable, breeders can select for homozygous Bl dogs responsibly. Routine genetic testing for the TYRP1 gene variants, including Bl, is recommended for Lancashire Heelers to guide breeding decisions.
