Test Overview:

Factor IX Deficiency, also known as Haemophilia B, affects dogs and is an inherited bleeding disorder whereby the body cannot produce enough Factor IX protein. It is a sex-linked, recessive trait and is carried on the X chromosome. Symptoms include prolonged bleeding from minor cuts or bruises, spontaneous bleeding, excessive bleeding from teething and post surgery bleeding.
