Test Overview:

Genetic testing is strongly advised for all potential breeding Cane Corsos to identify carriers and avoid producing affected puppies. To prevent DSRA, it is recommended to breed only dogs that are clear of the mutation or, at minimum, never mate two carriers. Carriers should ideally be removed from breeding programs or only bred to clear dogs, with careful pedigree management to maintain genetic diversity
